BVCA Appoints New Chief

The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association has appointed Mark Florman as CEO.

The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) has appointed Mark Florman as CEO, Financial Times reports. Florman has succeeded Simon Walker, a corporate communications veteran, and will take on the role in March.

Florman created Africa-focused fund 8 Miles with Bob Geldof in 2010. Florman served at Northern Trust and Enskilda Securities, prior to joining private equity firm, Doughty Hanson.
