Goldman Unit Buys £260M Paternoster

Goldman Sachs has acquired U.K pension insurer, Paternoster.

Goldman Sachs has acquired U.K pension insurer, Paternoster, Financial Times reports. The lender’s U.K. insurance unit, Rothesay Life, will pay around £260 million for the acquisition, adds Professional Pensions. Deutsche Bank, which currently holds a 40% stake in London-based Paternoster, accepted the buyout offer. Goldman will not immediately combine the firm with its Rothesay Life subsidiary.
