Colony Capital has acquired a minority share in luxury hotel, nightclub and restaurant owner, sbe. The California-based private equity firm paid $35 million for the stake in Sam Nazarian’s company, adds The Wall Street Journal. Colony Capital, which has around $30 billion in assets under management, will also get two of the five seats on sbe’s board. Nazarian will continue in his role as Chairman of SBE’s board of directors.
