Helios Unveils Long/Short Energy Fund

New York-based hedge fund manager, Helios Advisors, has launched a new long/short energy offering.

New York-based hedge fund manager, Helios Advisors, has launched a new long/short energy offering, HFMWeek reports. The Helios Energy Fund invests in small and mid-cap companies in the sector, and is brokered by Goldman Sachs and Conifer Securities. The vehicle launched with $10 million and will have $30 million at the beginning of February. Jason Selch is the portfolio manager. Prior to joining Helios, Selch was a professional investor in the small and mid-cap energy investing at Acorn Funds and energy investment manager for Sam Zell.
