The Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) has carried out the clearing of its first cleared-only wheat calendar swaps, Mondovisione reports. The Kansas City Board of Trading Clearing will clear the over-the-counter wheat calendar swaps. An OTC wheat calendar swap is a privately negotiated contract between a buyer and seller based on the underlying KCBT hard red winter wheat futures contract. Only eligible swaps participants can take part in wheat calendar swaps.
