BM&F To Launch Soybean Futures

BM&FBOVESPA is set to roll out three new soybean derivatives on January 27.

BM&FBOVESPA is set to roll out three new soybean derivatives on January 27, Mondovisione reports. Each futures contract is quoted in U.S. dollars and accounts for 450 60-net kilogram bags of soybeans, or 27 metric tons. The new soybean futures and options on futures will have the Paranaguá port, Paraná state, as their reference point and be settled according to the ESALQ/BM&FBOVESPA Soybean Price Index. BM&FBOVESPA is seeking to boost the participation of cooperatives, exporters, cereal merchants and other agents in the soybean market through the launch.
