Pacific Investments is planning to launch its absolute return fund management business at the start of the next quarter of 2011, Reuters reports. The investment vehicle of U.K. property developer, John Beckwith, has also appointed Rod Barker to head the new business. Barker joins from International Standard Asset Management (ISAM), where he served as a partner. Prior to that, he was a director at RAB Capital and later joined Renaissance Investment Management before moving to ISAM in 2009.
