Moodys Investors Service says it has filed an application with the Committee of European Securities Regulators with plans to endorse credit ratings issued by its entities in non-EU member countries. Moodys says its decision will facilitate efficient flow of capital across national borders and best meet the current needs of all users of credit ratings. The CESR, soon to be replaced by the European Securities and Markets Authority, expects Moodys registration process to be completed in the second quarter.
