Blake Grossman, a vice chairman at BlackRock, is leaving the firm by the end of the first quarter to pursue other opportunities, Pensions & Investments reports. He had joined the investment manager in December 2009 after its takeover of Barclays Global Investors, where he was CEO.
The investment duties of Grossman will be assumed by senior managing director and head of portfolio management, Richard Kushel and managing director, CIO and head of the scientific active equity business and global markets strategy group Ken Kroner. Grossman will continue to serve in an advisory role until his exit.
