The former Asia head of The Children’s Investment Fund Management U.K. (TCI), has raised $500 million for his hedge fund, Janchor Partners Pan Asian Fund, Bloomberg reports. John Ho has stopped marketing the hedge fund to new investors after its assets grew to $500 million in the first year. The fund started investment in January 2010 and shorted single stocks with flawed business models and broken corporate governance. The fund has returned about 35.5%, four-times more than the Eurekahedge Asia Long/Short Equities Hedge Fund Index’s less than 8% gain for 2010.
