Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company (KKR) has acquired certain Barnett Shale properties from Texas-based energy company, ConocoPhillips. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The properties, which are located in North Central Texas, include 93 billion cubic feet of total net reserves. The deal is the second investment made by KKR Natural Resources, a partnership formed in 2010 with Premier Natural Resources to pursue investments in North American oil and gas properties.
