BlackRock has appointed Ivan Seidenberg to the company’s board of directors. The asset manager’s board now has 19 members, 11 of whom are independent and not affiliated with the company. Prior to this, Seidenberg has been Chairman and CEO of Verizon since its launch in 2000. Since 2009, Seidenberg has chaired the Business Roundtable, an influential association of CEOs heading U.S. companies.
