A Vanguard ETF has become the third largest exchange-traded fund in the U.S.

A Vanguard ETF has become the third largest exchange-traded fund in the U.S., Bloomberg reports. The Vanguard Emerging Market ETF had $46.2 billion assets under management as on Jan. 19, 2011. The fund has surpassed BlackRock’s iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, with $46 billion assets. Both the emerging-markets funds track the same index, MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
