Termoelektrarna Sostanj has secured a credit facility worth €200 million, Bloomberg reports. The Slovenian thermal power plant will get the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The proceeds from the credit facility will be used to finance the construction of a new 600- megawatt coal-powered unit to replace five less-efficient units. The project will be co-financed by the European Investment Bank, which will be providing €550 million.
