Danely, 39, upgraded Linear Technology Corp. of Milpitas, California, from neutral to overweight in July, at $27.64, on its growing market presence, among other factors. Shares of the company, which designs, manufactures and markets a line of high-­performance analog and mixed-­signal integrated circuits, were trading above $32 by the end of that month but had drifted back to $28.62 by late August, for a gain of 3.5 percent that nonetheless led the sector by 10.8 percentage points.
