Citi Appoints Global Commodities Chief

Citigroup has appointed Stuart Staley as head of global commodities.

Citigroup has appointed Stuart Staley as head of global commodities, Bloomberg reports. Staley is currently deputy head of commodities, and replaces John Casaudoumecq, who is planning to retire. Casaudoumecq has been with Citi for 25 years and managed Canadian fixed-income trading.

Before joining Citi in May 2004, Staley was CEO of AEP Energy Services and has also had a stint with Enron. Citi’s global commodities business currently employs 230 people in Houston, Calgary, New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo. It will seek to boost staff by 30-40 percent over the next three years, adds Reuters.
