BlackRock Shakes Up Personnel

Blackrock reshuffles management for its fundamental equities business.

Blackrock has appointed Robert Doll as chief equity strategist for its fundamental equities platform, Pensions & Investments reports. Quintin Price, who will retain his position as CIO for Europe, Middle East and Africa, has taken over Doll’s position as head of fundamental equity.

Paul Walker-Duncalf has been named head of fundamental equity trading. The CIO of scientific active equity (SAE) and also the head of the asset manager’s Australia SAE business, Morry Waked, will leave the firm by the third quarter of 2010. Blake Grossman, a vice chairman at BlackRock, has taken Waked’s role as CIO, while Andrew Jackson has assumed Waked’s other role as head of the firm’s Australia SAE business.
