Ex-GLG Manager Launches Paris Hedge Fund

Georges Gedeon launches his own hedge fund, Mereor Investments, in Paris.

Hedge fund manager, Georges Gedeon, has launched his own hedge fund, Mereor Investments, in Paris, Financial Times reports. Previously, Gedeon was senior investment manager at hedge fund firm, GLG Partners’ merger arbitrage and credit funds.

Mereor Investments will focus on merger arbitrage, which makes money by taking positions in companies involved in takeovers or acquisitions, and credit. Gedeon has set up the fund with Jean-Luc Biamonti, who headed Goldman Sachs’ European retail investment-banking business until last year.
