BlackRock To Unveil U.S. Retail Hedge Fund

Funds will allow retail investors access to hedge funds and private equity vehicles.

BlackRock is gearing up to unveil a new series of investment funds that will allow retail investors access to hedge funds and private equity vehicles, Reuters reports. The fund, BlackRock Core Alternatives Portfolio, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2010.

BlackRock Financial Management will be sub-advisor to the new funds, while BlackRock Advisors will serve as the investment advisor, adds FINalternatives. The minimum initial subscription for core alternatives feeder fund is $50,000 and minimum subsequent subscription is $25,000.
