BlackRock Hires U.K. Fund Co-Manager

BlackRock picks Adam Avigdori to co-manage its U.K. income fund.

BlackRock has hired Adam Avigdori to co-manage its U.K. Income fund, Fund Strategy reports. Avigdori, who joined BlackRock after its merger with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2006, will work alongside Nick McLeod-Clarke on the £309 million fund.

At present, Avigdori is a portfolio manager and analyst with the U.K. equity team, where he has worked with McLeod-Clarke since December 2008. Avigdori is responsible for managing property and construction stocks.
