Anshu Jain, 44, the London-based head of global markets for Deutsche Bank, is widely regarded as a rock star of modern finance. It turns out he parties like one as well.

The banker shares a passion for cricket with Mick Jagger, the 63-year-old lead singer of the Rolling Stones, and the two have been spotted together at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, of which Deutsche is a sponsor. So when Jain was looking for a marquee act to entertain at Deutsche’s annual markets conference, he lined up Jagger and the Stones to give a private concert.

The band reportedly received a cool $5.4 million for performing before a crowd of 500 at the Catalan National Art Museum in Barcelona last month. A Deutsche spokeswoman declined to comment on the cost of the event; Jagger ribbed the bankers about it. According to press reports, the singer thanked the crowd and then quipped, “The best part is, it’s coming out of your bonuses.”
