State Street Global Advisors is readying a slew of marketing literature to back its push into international exchange-traded funds. SSgA has already unveiled literature explaining the importance of international investing and plans ETF comparison fact sheets and investing strategy literature as it launches 16 international ETFs.

A recent paper notes that international stocks have beaten their U.S. peers 50% of the time since January 1975 and that a non-U.S. company has been the top performer in every sector in four of the past six years.

SSgA launched two ETFs covering Japan indexes last week, the first of a staggered launch of the international ETFs. The firm also plans to launch ETFs covering China, global real estate, global infrastructure, and the S&P World Index (www.fundaction.com, 9/1).
