The departure of Mike Lu from Janus Capital Group‘s Janus Global Technology Fund after seven years is seen as further indication that the Denver-based firm is leaning more toward a team approach when it comes to managing funds, the Denver Post reports. Lu’s replacements at the helm of the fund are Brad Slingerland and Barney Wilson, who will lead a team of five other researchers. The move comes after other fund-manager shake-ups in the past month, with teams replacing single managers at the Janus Mercury Fund and Janus Research Fund. According to the Post, Lu’s resignation came as “a little bit of surprise” says Morningstar senior analyst Dan McNeela, since the fund he led has been up this year, and far outperformed its peers in 2005.
