Finance minister Nikola Popovski unveils that the talks between the government and ING Group regarding the local Post Bank have been successfully completed and all details are specified. According to sources quoted by A1 TV Station, this is the end of the negotiations and the acquisition of Post Bank by ING will be signed shortly. The state holds a 33.33% stake (including a golden share) in Post Bank, while the local Eurostandard Bank owns the remaining 66.66%. The government to finalize the stake transfer by the end of March. The local authorities strongly support the acquisition that will mark the first entry of a powerful foreign investor in the country’s banking system.
