Czech Republic: Toyota To Build Spare Parts Storage In Usti Region

Toyota Motor Europe, represented by Takenaka Europe, plans to build a logistic centre with storage of original spare parts for brands Toyota and Lexus in the industrial zone Zdarek in Usti region, CIA reported.

Toyota Motor Europe, represented by Takenaka Europe, plans to build a logistic centre with storage of original spare parts for brands Toyota and Lexus in the industrial zone Zdarek in Usti region, CIA reported. In the first stage, the centre will supply local dealers in the Czech Republic and Germany, while in the second stage the centre will supply the whole Central Europe. At the same time, the company does not intend to produce or adjust spare parts in the new centre. The company envisages commencing the first stage of the construction of the logistic centre Toyota Parts Center Czech Republic in April, with completion of the project expected by January 2007. During that time it will employ 75 people. The company wants to build a one-storey storage hall covering the area of 12,000sqm with a two-storey extension accommodating office rooms. The total area of the compound will reach 192,000sqm and the covered area after the second stage of the construction scheduled from March 2009 - March 2010 will reach 47,000sqm. Then the centre will employ 200 people.
