Schroder Investment Management North America has hired two senior v.p.s and launched two funds as part of a plan to grow in the U.S. market. Ross Servick joins from Managers Investment as senior v.p. and head of investment sales, while Carter Sims, previously at Columbia Management (FA, 10/21), will be senior v.p. and head of channel sales.

The funds are the U.S. Small and Mid Cap Opportunities Fund and the Emerging Markets Equity Fund. The new funds, plus the closure of the firm’s $8 million U.S. Large Cap Equity Fund due to poor performance, will set at nine the number of Schroders’ U.S. funds.

Currently, 11% of Schroders’ business is U.S. based.
