Barclays Global Investors has launched an advertising campaign that focuses on using its iShares exchange-traded funds as a component of advisors’ investment ideas. The campaign, “Think in Ideas,” was conceived following extensive research on what advisors want to achieve when using ETFs.

“The campaign is meant to underscore that iShares are a powerful catalyst for advisors a way to empower them and to spark their best thinking,” said Lance Berg, spokesman.

One television ad shows advisors at the moment an idea strikes while another shows advisors on Wall Street where it is implied that what matters most are smart ideas. These ads will run on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox News.

Print ads, slated for The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, The New York Times and several trade publications, will also highlight the importance of ideas. One ad states, “Food. Water. Shelter. Ideas. (Rearrange if you’re a financial advisor.).”
