U.K. insurance and reinsurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson is set to merge its JLT Risk Solutions and JLT Corporate Risks divisions.
According to news reports, the merger will be completed in the third quarter of this year. The reports say the combined unit will be headed by Dominic Collins, chairman of JLT Risk Solutions.
The company confirmed it was planning the merger, but declined to provide further details. It will release the full details of the change when it announces its results on March 7.
JLT Risk Solutions is JLT’s main insurance and reinsurance broking unit, based mostly in London and Bermuda. JLT Corporate Risks is the firm’s U.K. insurance broking operation.
