Czech Republic: Brokerage BH Securities Turnover Grows By 75% Y/Y In 2005

Czech brokerage BH Securities’ transaction volumes grew by over 75% year-over-year to a record CZK289.4 billion (€9.7 billion) in 2005, company’s chief executive Zdenek Lepka reported.

Czech brokerage BH Securities’ transaction volumes grew by over 75% year-over-year to a record CZK289.4 billion (€9.7 billion) in 2005, company’s chief executive Zdenek Lepka reported. At the same time, BH Securities’ net profit increased by 151% y/y to CZK28.9 billion, while the managed clients’ assets reached CZK 4.7 billion at the end-2005, translating to a 16.5% y/y growth. BH Securities’ 100%-majority owner, Proxy-Finance, raised the company’s share capital by CZK40 million (66.7% y/y) to CZK100 million in 2005, while its owner’s equity topped CZK250 million. BH Securities, a member of the Prague Stock Exchange and of the Czech Association of Securities Dealers, ranked among the top ten brokers in terms of turnover on the PSE in January.
