Based in São Paulo and covering 20 companies, Monteiro and his associates wowed investors by advocating Brazil’s specialty stores over larger, multiline department stores. One example: Since 2010 the team has been urging clients to buy Cía. Hering, citing the fashion retailer’s burgeoning brand identity and rapid expansion.
