Claire Poncet Dumont
Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank

Debuting at No. 2 is Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank’s Claire Poncet Dumont. The solo analyst works out of Paris following 11 issuers, with plans to raise that figure to 15 in the year ahead. Though cautious in her outlook for 2013, she maintains an add rating on Casino Guichard-Perrachon. Dumont upgraded its 3.994 percent 2020 notes in March, at 184.25 basis points, after the French supermarket operator reported strong sales and announced €1.5 billion ($2 billion) in new asset disposals, to raise capital and maintain its credit rating. By mid-January the notes had tightened to 142.65 basis points. “Claire is a rising star in the space,” observes one buy-side enthusiast. — Ben Mattlin
