The 2015 All-Latin America Best Analyst Day: Financials/Banks, No. 2: Banco Bradesco

Banco Bradesco

Banco Brasesco is the second-largest private bank in Brazil — and it got a bit bigger in August when it agreed to buy HSBC’s Brazilian unit. The São Paulo-based firm was founded in 1943 as Banco Brasileiro de Descontos, a commercial bank. Initially it targeted small retailers, landowners and government workers. In 1988 the bank changed its name to Banco Bradesco and now offers services to corporations as well as individuals.
