Cía. de Minas Buenaventura
Cía. de Minas Buenaventura is a Peruvian precious metals miner with its headquarters in Lima. In both its wholly owned mines and joint ventures, the company’s 2,400 employees are dedicated to the exploration, extraction, processing and development of gold, silver, coal, lead, molybdenum and zinc. Buenaventura first broke ground in 1953 at its Julcani mining center. It went public in 1971, first being listed on the Lima Stock Exchange and then on the New York Stock Exchange in 1996.
