Brokerage company Fio burzovni mediated securities deals worth over CZK 80bn (EUR 2.7bn) in 2005, representing approximately 33% y/y increase, company's sales director Radek Lastovicka stated. Fio managed clients' assets amounting to CZK 105mn at end-2005. The company also launched a service according to which client assets report annual appreciations. Meanwhile, in 2006 Fio started to raise the number of branches as planned - it opened an office in Budapest in January and its clients can already invest also on the Budapest Stock Exchange. In addition, at the turn of March-April, a trading place is to be opened in Olomouc, North Moravia , and by end-June, trading places are to launch activities in Ceske Budejovice , South Bohemia , and in Kosice , East Slovakia . Fio burzovni, a member and shareholder of the Prague Stock Exchange, also offers investments into US stock and securities in Germany , where it became the first Czech member of the stock exchange Xetra.
