Wilmington Trust of Pennsylvania recently took new space in Lehigh Valley, Penn., and tapped Karen Bishoff, previously with Wachovia Wealth Management, as managing director and head of the office. Wilmington has also brought on an accompanying senior team there, said Mark Graham, president of Villanova-based WTPA, noting that the firm has been servicing clients in the Lehigh Valley from its nearby Doylestown location for over three years. The office, which houses four professionals, is actively looking to add six more officers including several senior commercial bankers and wealth managers as well as two administrative support staff over the next year. It has hired Steve Courtright and Jeanette Madaya from Wachovia WM as senior wealth strategist and senior fiduciary officer, respectively. Additionally, Scott Kwiatek, formerly lender for commercial real estate and construction projects for WTPA, has been named v.p. of commercial real estate lending. They report to Bishoff who reports directly to Jeffrey Culp, coo for WTPA.

WTPA is unique in that it offers a combination of commercial banking and wealth advisory services including private banking, lending, asset management, fiduciary and planning services, Graham said. Commercial bankers and wealth managers, working in tandem with all other professionals, are the primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients. WTPA caters to new segments of Mainline wealth like privately held business owners, corporate execs and the medical segment and established wealth. Minimum relationships are $3 million.

The Lehigh Valley office, located at Main Street Commons in Bethlehem, is Wilmington's fifth locale in Pennsylvania to join shops in Philadelphia, West Chester, Doylestown and its headquarters. Wilmington Trust has over $40 billion in assets under management.
