The net profit of the second largest mobile operator T-Mobile Slovensko amounted to SKK2.6 billion in 2005, up by 40% year-over-year, the company CFO Ivan Bosnak announced. EBITDA increased by 24% y/y to SKK6.13 billion as revenues jumped by 10% y/y. The income from mobile services underlied the robust performance as they climbed by 12% y/y for the year and represented 93.1% of the overall revenues. The latter reached SKK14.6 billion in 2005. Earlier, the operator explained that its clients increased by 6% y/y to two million people last year, which stood behind the rising revenue figures. Moreover, the average revenue per user was also up by 2.2% y/y due to clients switching from pre-paid programs to regular subscription plans. T-Mobile Slovensko still trails behind rival Orange Slovensko on the mobile communication markets in terms of number of clients with a 44.4% market share last year. It is fully controlled by fixed-line monopoly Slovak Telecom and thus is a part of the Deutsche Telekom group.
