Anne Arundel Extends RFP For 457

Anne Arundel Retirement System has extended its request for proposal to find a new deferred compensation plan provider to Aug. 31.

Anne Arundel Retirement System has extended its request for proposal to find a new deferred compensation plan provider to Aug. 31. The original due date was July 12. A county official said part of the reason for the extension is because questions were coming in from vendors, though she couldn’t be specific about what the questions were. The Annapolis, Md.-based plan is expected to produce another addendum to address the questions. The official declined to disclose the number of bids submitted.

Anne Arundel was in the final stages of drafting a RFP in March to find a new recordkeeper for its roughly $80 million 457 plan (DCSPA, 3/6). T. Rowe Price is still manager and recordkeeper. “We are happy with the current vendor, but it may not be the best option for the employees,” the official said.
