Hedge fund administration isn’t the most glamorous job, but these days it might be the hardest. This has been a year spent picking up pieces from the ever-widening credit crunch, and administrators have been in the thick of it.

Hedge funds have seen higher rates of redemptions, lockup terms have been lengthened from quarterly to annually, and gate provisions have been instituted to limit investors’ withdrawals.
