Risk Management Solutions has unveiled a new typhoon model for mainland China and Taiwan, Business Insurance reports. The model will help insurers and reinsurers to quantify wind and related flood losses.

Previously, the wind and flood damage losses were covered by fire policies in China. The model is based on data from over 24,500 storms acquired from the China Meteorological Administration.
