Fannie Mae has hired Susan McFarland as executive vice president and CFO. She will work under president and CEO Michael Williams and also serve on the mortgage insurer’s executive committee.

Prior to this, McFarland worked with Capital One Financial as executive vice president, finance and principal accounting officer. The appointment will be effective from July 11, 2011.
