VelocityShares has appointed J Parsons to its board of directors, Index Universe reports. Parsons was previously the global head of iShares sales, while it was part of Barclays Global Investors. He headed iShares’ global business development from its launch through its sale to BlackRock. Velocity has six VIX-based ETNs, including the VelocityShares Daily 2X VIX Short-Term ETN.
