The New York State Common Retirement Fund’s investments generated a 14.6% return for the fiscal year ended March 31, Pensions & Investments reports. The pension fund reported $146.5 billion in assets at the end of March 31 this year.

The fund had disclosed $134.3 billion in assets in 2010. The system dropped from a high of about $154 billion in 2008 to $110 billion a year later because of the economic slump, adds The Wall Street Journal.
