Global technology company ConvergEx Group has rolled out a new algorithm that offers portfolio traders the benefits of executing in a diverse array of domestic dark venues, while allowing them to maintain their required cash and sector balances. The algorithm, known as Spectrum, allows users to trade cash-neutral in the dark.
Spectrum offers midpoint or better pricing and also monitors risk management and cash balance parameters at the same time. Its proprietary technology and methodology offers a performance interface that tracks user performance throughout the life cycle of each execution. Through this algorithm, both low-touch and high-touch users are provided with the ability to alter portfolio executions throughout the trading day.
