The Little Rock (Ark.) Non-Uniformed Pension Plan is seeking to appoint a pension plan consultant, Pensions & Investments reports. The new candidate will be responsible for evaluating the adequacy of the existing defined contribution retirement plan for non-uniform employees.

The consultant will also have to help develop a plan for shifting to an alternate vehicle if deemed suitable. The adviser will also examine plan types offered by similar entities, look at return assumptions and fix funding requirements for any replacement to the current plan. The defined contribution plan had assets worth $36.6 million and the pension plan possessed $8.4 million as of Dec. 31, 2010.
