Repossession of U.K. properties rose 15% in the first quarter compared with the previous three-month period but was down 10% from a year earlier, reports Money Marketing.

Repossession of U.K. properties rose 15% in the first quarter compared with the previous three-month period but was down 10% from a year earlier, according to the Council of Mortgage Lenders. CML also reported that the percentage of mortgages in arrears slipped from 2% at the end of last year to 1.47%, while gross buy-to-let lending dropped 3.5% in the first quarter compared with the fourth quarter of last year.
