Nigel Whittaker and John Macfarlane, executives at Tudor Investment Corp., are quitting the hedge fund to start a new venture, Bloomberg reports. London-based Zafferano Capital will invest in shares and credit of public and private companies of emerging markets.

Brent De Jong, former CEO of Ashmore Energy International, will also join the firm. Whittaker and Macfarlane will own a stake in the new management firm, which will invest through hedge funds and private equity from 2012.
