CIC Names Ex-SSF Vet As CIO

China’s sovereign-wealth fund the China Investment Corporation has appointed Li Keping as CIO.

China’s sovereign-wealth fund the China Investment Corporation (CIC) has appointed Li Keping as CIO, The Wall Street Journal reports. He has replaced Gao Xiqing, who will remain president and vice chairman. Li will also assume the responsibilities of executive director and vice president, replacing Zhang Hongl, who will soon retire from his position. Most recently, Li was working as a vice chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund.
