Singapore Exchange (SGX) is introducing options on India’s S&P CNX Nifty Index on its derivatives platform in Singapore, Business Standard reports. The SGX had launched a consultation paper inviting public comments before introducing the contracts. The proposed options contract complements the S&P CNX Nifty Futures, which had an average daily trading volume of 50,000-56,000 contracts and an open interest of close to 198,000 contracts. National Stock Exchange has also signed a letter of intent to unveil stock and index options on the London Stock Exchange.
