The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has committed a total of $40 million in grants in California, Los Angeles Times reports. The amount investment amount includes $3.2 million for scholars, museums and documentary filmmakers in the state.
As part of the commitment, LA’s Grammy Museum will get $550,000 for the production of a film on American rock music, while LA and Berkeley-based Katahdin Foundation will receive $550,000. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art will also get a total of $300,000 for its 2012 exhibition.
