CFTC Names Information Chief

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has named John Rogers as chief information officer.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has named John Rogers as chief information officer. The regulator has also selected him as director of the new office of data and technology which is opening in October.

Rogers joined the agency in 2001 and was most recently director of the office of information technology services. The new data and technology office is part of the agency’s restructuring to fulfill its expanded responsibilities under the Dodd-Frank Act.
